Tours and visitor information

Members of the public who wish to visit St Mary’s are welcome to book on guided tours run by our Custos. Tours take place at 2pm on selected Wednesdays and capacity is limited to 12 visitors on each tour, to enhance the visitor experience and to avoid undue disturbance to almshouse residents for whom St Mary’s is home.

We regret we are not able to accommodate all requests, so early booking is advised. Larger groups such as universities, schools and colleges may be accommodated by prior agreement.

Finding St Mary’s

Location and parking

St Mary’s is situated off St Martin’s Square in the north east of Chichester city centre.

On-street parking nearby is restricted to permit holders. The nearest public short stay car park is Little London, behind Marks and Spencer’s East Street store.

From Little London car park the roof of the medieval hospital and chapel is visible.
